The era between RDLS and Automaton (which is still technically "Rock Dust Light Star"-era, I suppose) has always been really a mixed bag in terms of Jamiroquai performances, and this is definitely one I have,,, mixed feelings on. I don't hate it, but you can really tell they were trying to blend some new stuff with their current sound and it just wasn't hitting like they thought it would. I don't know if it's a pedal or the type of bass that Paul is playing, I'm straight up not feeling it. And I hate saying that because Paul always tears it up on this song. I know Jami started taking TWOM in a more jazzy rock (that's the best way I can describe it??) direction during RDLS, and I really liked the arrangement with all brass instruments instead of the classic brass + flute. Their show in late May of 2011 at the Paris Casino was a great example of that. Though I was pretty underwhelmed by this specific arrangement. I feel like they cut a lot of it out, and even though it's not meant to be a focal part of the song, it still adds to the fullness and grandiosity of the tune. Can't say I really cared for Matt's keyboarding this time around, it just felt like he was trying to fill in empty space. And usually there's more warmth to the keyboard than what is being played here. Usually it's on a setting with more reverb or it's supposed to act as a second bass line. (But then again, they implement that more in the Automaton arrangement). And yeah, that middle breakdown/jam session,,, left a lot to be desired. It wasn't funky. It wasn't exciting. There was no scatting or fun improvisational lyrics Jay usually makes up on the fly. I wasn't even getting hype for the chorus to come back around. There wasn't anything special about it. Again, not hating. I love this song and 99.9% of the time this band always kicks ass live. As a still relatively new Jamiroquai fan born after over half of their discography had already come out, I find it interesting to go back and watch how performances of certain songs evolve with the band's ever changing sound. I'll just chalk this one up to being in a weird transitional period lol.

This channel knows how to film, 1:20 mins into the video and we're airborne. So we can listen to the engines roar for 10 mins. Unlike other channel that show taxi for like 15-30 mins then take off/airborne for 3 mins...just ridiculous.

0:10 Great job, pilot! The A340-300s accelerate slowly causes underpowered. So… Just what if you just takeoff the A340-300 properly, if firstly you can just brakes on, secondly increase the throttle and spool-up, thirdly after 1.5 or 3 seconds, increase the throttle between 94 RPM to 99.5 RPM, fourthly release the brakes, lastly feel and see when the plane takes off well and V1.2 rotation too, you can do just slowly decrease the throttle a bit. (just try to jump off like the bird, but some A340-300s can’t) Is that OK…? :)

Best proof the Earth surface is a plane and not a globe. No commercial transportation would deviate SO MUCH from the time+fuel efficient straight line (the shortest distance between two points) making it more expensive and time consuming. On the globe model, a flight from Europe (latitude of ~50*N ) to US (latitude of ~34*N) would go South from 50 to 34 latitude, and would have no reason to be near the +70*N latitude of Greenland.

*REALITY CHECK* A Reality Check for an adherent of the Flat Earth Cult. Apparently you haven't taken much notice of the Globe Maps that are seen in school class rooms and public libraries. Go take an honest look. Notice that, unlike the Polar Projection map you FE Cultists use, all the Continents and Oceans fit perfectly over the surface of a Globe Map. With NO GROTESQUE DISTORTIONS of the oceans and continents. Now go some place quite, and sit down for a while and relax. Perhaps even make yourself a nice cup of tea. You've just had a Reality Check, and the world has become a much more interesting and far larger place for you. The nonsensical flat earth idea cannot explain Day and Night. Sun Rise and Sun Set. The four Seasons in the Temperate Zones. The entirely different star patterns at a set time six months apart. Star patterns in far north or south latitudes are never seen in the opposite hemisphere. International Navigation and Cartography. But it's a Cultish belief system, so none of these axiomatic realities are of any concern to the adherents of the Cult.

This is a very interesting video. Thank you for posting this.. I love to use my imagination in these videos, especially in ones about storms. In this particular video, I am imagining somebody returning home from a vacation is Switzerland, somebody that lives in New York. They have a connection in Miami, and their final destination will either be JFK or LaGuardia Airport in NY. After they take off from Zurich, they sleep for much of the flight, and when they wake up, they can all ready see the dark clouds in Florida. They have all ready long begun their descent, and are well below their cruising altitude. At about the 19:00 point of this video, you can see a boat heading out into the Gulf, or Atlantic Ocean, whichever it is. It is risky to go out in a boat with lightning in the area. Back in the day, Gilligan's Island was one of my favorite shows. I used to think that going out in a boat in a storm you would get shipwrecked. At about the 20:52 portion, you are approaching the airport in heavy rain, as you can see rain running along the windows, and when you finally land, the rain has just ended at the airport. They now have a 2 hour layover. I imagine that these storms are a result of a low pressure system loaded with tropical moisture, and headed up the coast. New York is in a critical drought and desperately needs rain. When their NY bound flight takes off, they fly home to hot and humid weather, with temperatures in the low 90's. The storm in Florida is headed to NY, and forecast to hit late the next day, bringing multiple inches of rain, easing the drought, and bringing lawns and gardens back to life. This is what I love to dream about, you land in NY, go home, rest, and take care of personal business the next day. You wake up the next morning to gathering clouds, which precede the rains, that are forecast to begin late in the afternoon, or early evening, and be heavy at times throughout the night. Heavy overnight rain is an excellent sleeping pill, the sounds of it hitting the roof, and the windows.
